A poetic and allegorical retelling of the end times. This is not, strictly speaking, a retelling of the book of Revelation. Unlike so many "end times" novels, this work makes no attempt to match up the account in Revelation with current events. Rather, Miller attempts to deal with the underlying spiritual issues. Possibly because he is not quite so bound to the original story, this is perhaps the most powerful part ot the trilogy. – Greg Slade
